VCPPOA

HISTORY

In 1985, the Ventura County Professional Peace Officers’ Association (VCPPOA) was born out of frustration with the lack of representation provided by a larger, countywide, employee association.

VCPPOA broke away from the parent association and stood on its own in the representation of the County’s Airport Operations Officers, Corrections Services Officers, Harbor Patrol Officers, Park Rangers and Deputy Probation Officers.

Today, we continue to be leaders in the peace officer community on both a local and statewide level, and provide an effective and credible voice for all of the officers that we represent.

MISSION

The Ventura County Professional Peace Officers’ Association was constructed upon the foundation of integrity, unity, and leadership.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality and most effective representation for our members, and to ensure that their interests are protected in labor and legal matters, economic issues, insurance, and officer safety.

We will continue to be leaders and active participants in peace officer labor issues on a state and local level, as well as providing a credible and effective voice in the areas of both legislation and politics.

The Ventura County Professional Peace Officers’ Association will carry out this mission in a manner that brings credit to, and reflects favorably upon, professional law enforcement and the community, which our members proudly serve.
