PEACE OFFICERS Memorial FundRaiser

The POAVC, Peace Officers Association of Ventura County, is an association of all the law enforcement of- ficers in Ventura County. We sponsor an annual Medal of Valor ceremony recognizing and honoring the heroes of the county both sworn and civilian. We also sponsor the annual Peace Officer’s Memorial Ceremony at the Peace Officer’s Memorial located at the Ventura County Government Center. There are 32 names on the wall dedicated to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for duty, honor and country.

Starting in November and continuing through Febuary, The POAVC will be fundraising money for the Peace Officiers Memorial. This fundraiser for the Peace Officers Memorial is a one-time event to permanently dedicate the Peace Officers Memorial with your personal thanks and love in the form of a brick paver. You can purchase any number of bricks inscribed with your message of approx. 39 character max. This is a charitable donation and your contribution is tax deductible. Mostly this is an opportunity for you to say thanks and show your respect and love for all law enforcement, especially those who have died in the line of duty. The amounts for donations for the pavers are $500/$400/$300. There are 2548 available pavers. When they are all purchased, the engraver will start his process. Deadline to purchase a memorial brick paver is February 1, 2011. Approximately 90 days after the pavers are sent out, the pavers should be placed at the Peace Officer’s Memorial.

Contact Matt Findlay at (805) 509-0124. The brick diagram is available at the VCDSA office at 981 S. Victoria Ave. Ventura.
